Medicaid Family Planning Extension Program (FPEP)
What is the Medicaid Family Planning Extension Program (FPEP)?

Medicaid Family Planning Extension Program (FPEP) is designed to provide family planning services to women who had full Medicaid when a pregnancy ended, and no longer have Medicaid or other insurance coverage.

Medicaid FPEP helps to improve the overall reproductive health of women, prevents unplanned pregnancies, and improves birth outcomes by providing eligible women with routine gynecological care.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you must have had full Medicaid, PCAP or MOMS when your pregnancy ended, lost Medicaid after your pregnancy ended, and have no other health insurance coverage.

What is NOT covered by Medicaid FPEP?

Medicaid FPEP does not cover ongoing obstetrics/gynecological care, including hysterectomies, prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care.
